UnderCover Live Band Essex
We've had a great response to the news of the demise of Undercover in September and after the last gig which included a line-up of deps, Pete has been encouraged by the support of fans and the deps to take on a few more gigs. The band now consists of a new line-up which includes Pete on vocals, Steve Henderson on drums, Pete Herbert on bass, Luke Rayner on guitar and Tony Forino on saxophone/keyboards.
We'd love to see some familiar faces again, we'd love to see some support, the gigs will be carefully chosen and only occassional, but its going to be a blast!
Undercover are an Essex covers band entertaining pubs and clubs with a selection of classics and trashics plus plenty of fun.
With over twenty years of gigging experience in various bands the line-up now concentrates solely on cover versions of well chosen songs. We cover anything from Elvis Presley to Franz Ferdinand and usually play set lists appropriate to the venue and function. This variety has enabled us to take on Birthday Parties from 18th — 80th! plus Weddings, functions and open air events. You can find examples of our set-lists on the contacts page as well as a Frequently Asked Questions section.
Undercover have been gigging together since late 2001 after spending quite some time finding the correct mixture of commitment, compatibility and attitude. In June 2004 we took on Mick as our new drummer who has become the driving force of Undercover. In July 2013 we introduced our new guitarist UndercoverBrett who has very quickly settled in across both the function as well as the pub set lists.
We're all firm believers that for a live band to be entertaining they have to be visually entertaining, and this is very obvious whilst we're on stage. We especially feed off an enthusiastic audience.
So get ready for some fun, get ready for some smiles, get yourself up and lets party!

Undercover support a number of charities each year by offering their services
for free. Our first adopted charity was MEDICS
— an Accident and Emergency Doctor Service — the Mid-Essex Doctors Immediate
Care Scheme. Twice a year during 2002/3/4 we provided
the band, PA, lighting and stage free of charge for all-day open air events
arranged in North Essex at The Fighting C*cks and Bell Pub, Wendens Ambo.
We again provided our services in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
We also helped to raise funds in 2005/6/7 at the White Horse Beer Festival in Coxtie Green, Brentwood, for Cancer Research UK and in aid of The Little Havens Children's Hospice. In 2009 and 2010 we again played the festival raising funds for Martin & Su’s Essex Kids (Heart radio) and Special Needs and Parents.
Another regular charity event that we support is held at the Fatlin & Firking, Hornchurch which in 2008, 2009 and 2010 raised funds for Help for Heroes. During the same years we supported the charity event held at the Crown, Hornchurch in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
In 2008 Undercover provided their stage, lighting, PA and the band at Beckerfest in aid of The Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases. We also provided the stage and lighting in 2009 and 2010.
Our most recent adopted event is held at Midsummer House in Debden. In July 2009 and 2010 we offered the stage, PA, lighting and the band for Ts in the Park. 2009 helped raise nearly £2,500 for The Teenage Cancer Trust and Wallace Cancer Care at Addenbrooke's. 2010 raised over £3,500 for Live Life Then Give Life.
On three occassions during 2010 we have helped raise funds for St Francis Hospice, at Langtons and twice at the Crown in Hornchurch.
Undercover would like to thank Phil at live band photos for his excellent site for bands/venues/punters:
Live Band Photos and What Live Music and Band Me Up for their support. We'd also like to give a big thumbs up to Ray and the team at The Farm Studios.
